Custody and Parenting Time Evaluation Services
Custody and Parenting‐Time Evaluations are court‐ordered evaluations that include recommendations for custody and parenting‐time plans.
As a result of my training and years of counseling experience, I understand the complexities of custody situations and offer this valuable service with integrity and compassion. And as a parent, I understand on all levels how we must support the health and well-being of children.
I conduct this service in accordance with ORS 107.425, which outlines a standard of practice in the best interest of the child/children involved. Because this service is new to my practice, all evaluation cases that I accept will be done under the supervision and consultation of esteemed colleagues in the field. I offer this service at a competitive rate.
I trained with Oregon Family Institute to learn their Collaborative Evaluation with Mediation (CEM) model. CEM has been commended as an outstanding practice by the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts for its focus on the needs and strengths of children and parents.
The CEM evaluation process is as follows.
- In‐office visits with each parent and then with the children
- Parent self reports
- Home visits to each of the homes
- Information collected from collateral contacts
- Use of standardized tests
The result of the evaluation is a written report that includes recommendations on custody and parenting time. The evaluation is conducted in accordance with ORS 107.425.
